It looks really nice in person, so I do like the style. That said, it feels a bit fragile, and I’m kind of worried I might end up damaging it if I’m not careful. I’d hate to spend the money and have it break sooner than expected, so I’m being extra cautious with it.

I really like the design and the sounds — it actually reminds me of messing around with gear at my friend’s home studio, which is part of why I enjoy using it. That said, the software side has been hit or miss for me. I’ve had a few freezes and syncing issues that got annoying fast. Some updates seem to help, but then other problems still pop up. It’s definitely fun overall, I just wish it felt more stable for the price

I generally really like teenage stuff, and I get why people are into it because the design and overall vibe are great. That said, the connectivity can be a little hit or miss in actual day-to-day use. Some of the devices work totally fine once you get everything set up the right way, but that setup part can take more effort than I expected. I find myself wishing there were more standard ports built in, mostly because I don’t always want to deal with extra adapters or figure out which cable is going to work for a specific situation. Bluetooth and USB are fine in theory, and sometimes they work perfectly, but with my setup they’re not always as smooth or predictable as I’d like. It’s not a dealbreaker, and I’m not saying the products are bad at all. It just feels a bit more limited than it should, especially considering the price

I’ve been using the OP-1 field and honestly , it’s a really fun piece of gear . The workflow felt strange at first , but after spending some time with it , things started to click and now it feels surprisingly fast . It sounds great , and there’s a ton packed into such a small setup . I’m taking off one star because a few features feel a little buried , and yeah , the price is definitely hard to ignore

I’ve been using my teenage.engineering gear for a while now, and the firmware updates have been solid overall. Not every update is a huge deal, but they’ve fixed some little annoying things and added a few nice touches here and there. I really like that it still feels supported after buying it. Updating was easy too, no big drama. 5 stars from me

I really love the design, it looks clean and feels well thought out. That said, getting help from support took longer than I expected. I get that teams can be busy, but I do think it’s only fair to respond to customers in a reasonable amount of time, especially after they’ve already paid

It’s definitely not cheap, and I think a lot of customers would probably wish the price was a bit easier to swallow. That said, once you actually use it, the build quality and sound make it feel like you’re getting something solid for the money.

I mostly picked up my teenage.engineering gear because I wanted something small enough to bring with me, it really is. It fits in my backpack, no problem, and it doesn’t feel heavy at all. I’ve used it on train rides, at a friend’s place, and even outside once. The battery life, and the size, just make it way easier to actually use more often.

First impression? Solid. It showed up fast, was packed well, and everything was in good shape. no issues at all.

I’ve had my teenage gear for around a year now, and it’s held up a bit better than I thought it would. I use it often and toss it in my bag now and then, and I haven’t run into any major issues so far. The only thing I’d say is that some of the plastic parts feel maybe a little too light, so I’m still kind of careful with it. For the price, I’d probably expect it to feel just a touch sturdier, but overall I’m still happy with it.

I had an issue with my OP-1 field after a few months, or maybe it was closer to a couple months, I can’t keep track, and I figured getting it sorted would be a whole hassle. Support got back to me really quickly, checked the warranty, and arranged the replacement part without making it complicated. I was happy with how smoothly it all went.

I really liked the way it looked out of the box, and it definitely has a cool design. But once I tried it, the sound was disappointing. It came across thin and weak, especially for what it costs. If it were cheaper, I might feel a little differently, but at this price I expected much better.

At first I thought I’d get stuck messing with every little detail, but it made sketching out beats feel really easy. One minute I was unsure if I’d like it, and the next I was just having fun putting ideas down without overthinking everything. It’s simple in a good way

My OP-1 pouch and cables worked just fine right out of the box. No hassle at all, and any cable mess I was worried about ended up being totally avoidable.

I wanted to like this, but the battery just doesn’t hold up. I charged it fully until the indicator light changed, unplugged it, and even with light use it lasted maybe an hour. I kept checking the time because I thought I was imagining it, but nope, it was draining fast. Kind of frustrating if you expected to use it for more than a quick session.

I had this issue with my OP-1 field order, so I reached out to Teenage Engineering support. They got back to me after a couple days and were actually helpful with the whole thing. It took a bit of back and forth, and the waiting between emails was kind of slow, which is why I’m going with 4 stars. But they were nice about it and did get that sorted in the end

I’ve been using the teenage documentation, and it’s solid overall. Most of the time I could find what I needed without digging around forever. A few sections did feel a little too brief, like they kind of assumed you already knew the next step, wait, actually that happened a couple times, but it was still enough to get me moving and figure things out.

I don’t have much patience when it comes to waiting on refunds, so I was glad this one came back fast. that’s all I needed
